Currituck Commissioners to Hold “Mini-Retreat”

SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
MINI-RETREAT WORK SESSION

TAKE NOTICE that the Currituck County Board of Commissioners will hold a Special Meeting/Work Session to discuss, review, and receive information pertaining to County services, policies, and operations. 

The meeting will be held on Monday, October 10, 2022, from 9:00 am until recess, in the Corolla Library meeting room, 1123 Ocean Trail, Corolla, North Carolina

The meeting will reconvene on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, from 9:00 am until adjournment, in the Emergency Operations Center of the Currituck County Public Safety Center, 125 College Way, Barco, North Carolina.  Items for discussion are as follows:

Tuesday, October 11, 2022 – Public Safety Center, Barco, 9:00 AM

  • Sheriff Matt Beickert-Request for additional fund appropriation for the purchase of vehicles
  • PFAL (Project Finance Advisory Ltd.) will present findings of their investigation of alternative delivery options for the procurement of a new wastewater treatment plant at Moyock Regional
  • Discussion of Volunteer Fire Departments
    • Consideration and possible action on a budget amendment to provide additional funding to purchase a new fire apparatus
  • Unified Development Ordinance Text Amendment Review
  • Growth Challenges
  • Opioids Task Force/Opioid Litigation
