St. Luke’s Episcopal Church will hold a food drive on Saturday, February 8 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Church located at 2864 Caratoke Hwy, Currituck, NC 27929. For more info contact the church at (252) 435-0530.
For several years, St. Luke’s has maintained a Blessing Box at the edge of our parking lot near the side door into the church to help Currituck’s needy families. The blessing box is filled with a variety of nonperishable goods – canned meats, fruits and vegetables, juices, breakfast foods, soups, peanut butter, healthy snacks, and more.
Anyone can stop by, no questions asked. All too often, when one of us checks it during the day, we find that it has been nearly emptied the night before. The Blessing Box is designed to help people in emergencies, when they can’t get to a food bank during the day.
On Saturday, February 8, there will be people at the church from 2-4 to accept donations of non-perishable food items. The church is immediately across the highway from the McDonald’s/Shell. Stop by and help the church help our needy neighbors.
