Phillip Eugene Bancroft, Jr., 61, of Tulls Creek Road, Moyock, NC died Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center. He was born October 30, 1958 in Norfolk, VA to the late Phillip Eugene Bancroft, Sr. and Betty Ann Beck Bancroft and was the husband of Valletta Marlene Brown Bancroft. He was a retired cook and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife he is survived by four daughters, Jessica Bancroft Bagwell (Danny), Cheryl Busick, Nancy Caley, and Billie Jo Caley Stubbs (James); a sister, Patricia Newlun; three brothers, Donald Bancroft, Mark Bancroft, and Kenneth Bancroft; ten grandchildren, Ashley, Summer, Corey, Jeffery, Chloe, Heavenly, Makaylin, Stormie, Georgia, and Brenden; and one great grandson, Mason. He was pre-deceased by a daughter, Barbara Caley.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Twiford Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jeremai Byrd officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and at other times at the residence of his daughter, Mr. and Mrs. James Stubbs, 206 Harrell Street, Elizabeth City, NC.
