Currituck Schools : Remote Learning Day

Developing Coastal Low create windy and wet conditions

Good evening Currituck County Schools Staff, Students, and Parents. Late this evening we have received updated information from Currituck Emergency Management that indicates a new coastal low will have the potential to significantly impact our weather tomorrow.

In light of the potential for wind and coastal flooding, Currituck County Schools will operate on an asynchronous remote learning day.

Students in Grades K-1 will receive assignments through Class Dojo. Students in Grades 2-12 will access their assignments through Google Classroom. All assignments should be posted by 8:30 am Monday morning. There will be no live sessions, rather work will be posted to be completed asynchronously. Students will have through Friday, October 7th, to turn in remote day assignments.

At this time, there is no word if COA will still hold classes for our dual enrolled students. Students who may have face to face COA classes are not expected to attend COA classes when school is cancelled for Currituck County. We will notify COA of the change to our schedule.
