Knotts Island, NC – Davette Hopson Lewis, age 42, of South End Road, Knotts Island, NC died Monday, November 4, 2019 at her home. Born in Norfolk, VA on June 25, 1977 to David W. Hopson and Constance Ordway Hopson, she was the wife of Ray Lewis, III of the residence. She was a very active member of Knotts Island United Methodist Church and loved camping, boating and anything family related.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by a daughter, Haley Smith; two sons, Jacob Lewis and Joseph Lewis; a grandson, Grayson Lewis; and her beloved Silky Yorkie, Lady Jane.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at Knotts Island United Methodist Church, 677 Knotts Island Rd., Knotts Island, NC 27950 at 2:00 pm on Dec 14, 2019. Memorial donations may be made to the Knotts Island United Methodist Church. Twiford Funeral Home, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC is assisting the Lewis family.
